When foreigners visit Korea, they can obtain normal tour visa or Korean family visa which is  F1 visa (Visiting or Joining Family).

Usually, F1 visa is for foreign people who plan to visit their family and relatives in Korea.

 

The F-1 visa is for foreigners who wish to live with people legally working in Korea.

6. Family member of foreign residents in Korea by SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement)

7. Foreigners who are not engaging in any occupation and have authorized reason to stay long period of time in Korea.

1. Overseas adapted people who used to have Korean nationality at the time of birth.

2. First generation Korean heritage who moved to foreign countries before establishment of Korean Government.

5. Children (under 21 years old) of foreign residents in Korea by SOFA (Status of Forces Agreement)

6. Fiance or underage child of F2 (Resident visa) visa holder

7. Underage child who requires to be taken care from Korean parents

 

Any other people who are not currently engaging in occupation and have a authorized reason to stay long period of time in Korea can apply for F1 Visa.

2. Qualified Korean-Chinese are permitted to obtain E1 (professor), and E7 (designated activities).
