D8 visa is called Korean business or investment visa for foreigners who plan to run their own business and establish own corporation in Korea or wish to invest to Korean business.
So, if foreign investor or business man plans to start up small business in Korea, it must be required to obtain D8 visa which allows to do business related activities legally.
There are 4 subcategories for D8 visa.
D-8-1 visa is for Korean investment or establishment of corporation.
This is the most common type of visa and highly demanded by foreign investors and business men.
This visa in such a high demand shows that many foreigners already have some plans to run the business or invest to Korea.
For the investment, there are some conditions to meet.
The foreign investment enterprise must be authorized enterprise by FOREIGN INVESTMENT PROMOTION ACT.
The investment can only be made by skilled experts who plan to engage in fields of Management, Production, Business, or Technology in Korean corporation.
In order to issue the D8 visa, you need to verify your investment. Your investment must target to Korean corporation. Total investment capital must be equal to or more than 100 million KRW and it is require to have equal amount of or more than 10 percent of the total capital stocks of the original company.
Having a Korean bank account is one of necessary task to accomplish. It is not possible to open a Korean bank account without Alien registered card.
