F-3 Dependent Family Visa in Korea


F-3 visa is for a spouse (legal married couple) or  a child (under the age of 18) of visa holders who are in Korea with a D-1 (artist) to an E-7 (Specially Designated occupation) visa.


<Eligibility>

F3 visa (Accompanying spouse / child visa in Korea) can be issued for Spouse or unmarried underage child of visa holder with D1 (Culture/Art) through E7 (Designated activities). (D3 visa is not involved)

A single-entry visa with less than a year of validity can be issued for foreigners who plan to marry registered alien, and foreigners who plan to enter Korea with anyone who qualifies terms and conditions for D5 visa (Journalism Visa in Korea) and D8 visa (Korean Investment Visa).


<Required documents>


1) Visa application form, passport, photo and visa fee

2) Family relation statement
   - EX) Birth certificate, Marriage certificate or other relevant documents.
   - For Chinese : Marriage certificate,Resident certification(居民身份证)

3) Financial statements
   - EX) Tax payment certificate, Proof of employment 


In order to obtain F3 visa, applicants must prepare various documents such statements can prove purpose of staying and financial condition.
And even additional documents may be required if diplomatic office decides to evaluate specific status of applicants.
Therefore, it is highly advised to visit agency office or experts on visa issuance.

In case of foreigners who are spouse or underage child of E7 visa holder,
they can obtain F3 visa with different ways in order to stay legally in Korea.
There are two options available to apply for F3 visa.

1) Obtain single entry visa with less than one year period of stay and enter Korea.
2) Submit required documents and receive visa issuance approval number.

*Only for Underage child can be invited with E7 visa or tour visa.
