What is Permanent residency?

It refers to a person's resident status in a country of which they are not a citizen.

Eligiblity

 

1. A 19 years old adult who has D7 visa (Intra-Company Transferee in Korea) or E7 visa (Korean Employment visa) and also stayed more than 5 years.

2. A spouse or underage child of F5 visa (Permanent Residency in Koera) holder and whose parents were Korean nationals at the time of his/her birth.

3. A foreign investor who has invested more than a half million US dollars and employed more than five Korean national workers.

4. An overseas Korean who is currently foreign national and qualified for requirements.

5. Any other qualified individuals who are authorized or recognized by the Ministry of Justice.

To apply for Korean permeant residency, an official crime career confirm letter is required.

 

Apostille certification or Confirmation from overseas Korean official residences required.

Not only personal/criminal history statement but also other specification such as financial statements are required. 

Requrired documents for F5 visa issuance

1. Passport, Alien registration card, other type of ID

2. Application form and photo.

3. Permanent Resident Eligibility Application Review Report

and foreigner letter of guarantee

4. Certificate of criminal history on overseas

5. Documents state your place of residence

6. Any documents prove your qualification for staying in Korea

7. Other necessary documents.
