D8 visa : Start your business in Korea
The D8 visa is issued to foreigners who plan to start up small businesses in Korea and foreign appointed managers or investors of local companies, executives, senior managers or employees with specialist skills.
D8 visa is called as Korean business visa or Korean investment visa.
In order to obtain D8 visa on right time and to avoid rejection, it is highly advised to visit visa experts office.
When foreigners start their business in Korea, they need to follow procedure below in order to obtain D8 visa.
✔Procedure for Investment in Korea
1. Notify or report foreign investment.
2. Transfer investment fund. - Create Korean bank account
3. Establish corporation.
4. Register business
5. Register foreign investment enterprise.
6. Apply for D-8 visa and obtain D-8 visa
※To be authorized as a Foreign investment company, the investment capital must be more than 100 million KRW.
For foreigners who are not staying in Korea or who don't have Alien registration card, are not able to open a bank account in Korea.
