D10 visa (job-seeking visa)

Any Foreign students who want to study in Korean university or college, they must have D2 visa (Student visa in Korea).

After D2 visa holder finished his/her study in Korean university, they are not able to stay longer in Korea with D2 visa.

If anyone like to stay longer in Korea after finishing their study, they need to apply for change their visa type in order to change status of stay.

Usually foreign students who achieved Bachelor's degree or higher, want to find a job in Korea. In this case, E7 visa (Specially designated Activities) is applicable, but it is hard to get a job right away. So we recommend to apply for D10 visa (job-seeking visa) in order to stay longer and find a job in Korea.

Eligibility

① Any foreign students who are going to or already have an Associate degree in Korean college

② Any foreign students who are going to or already have Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Korean university or who completed research program from Scholar research organization.

③ Anyone who has E-series visa, from E1 visa (Professor visa) to E7 visa (Special Occupation) and wishes to continue working in Korea but not able to extend employment contract or find a job.

④ Anyone who has or going to have bachelor’s degree (or higher) from domestic or foreign universities and plans to prepare business start up with his/her own intellectual property rights or equivalent skills.

⑤ Any other legal foreign sojourner who qualifies for apply D10 visa (job-seeking visa)

Within past year, during period of an employment contract, any foreign laborer who quit his/her job not by an employer's responsibilities, will lose their right to change status of staying.

*It is necessary to protect innocent employ by the Principle of good faith and to keep rules and orders of foreign sojourners and prevent abusing recruitment system.

Required documents

1. Application form, passport or alien registered card, fee

2. Certificate of education or official transcript.

3. Statement or report of job seeking activity plan.

4. Other documents

D10 visa is easy to obtain for foreigners who have right identification and certain level of education. With D10 visa, your job seeking activities will be more guaranteed
