Report on alteration or addition of employment place

E7 visa which is called designated activities is for foreign laborers who plan to work at specific appointed fields by The Minister of Justice in Korea.

The foreign skilled experts must keep the rule and zone of activity for each occupation.

There are total of 85 categories and 283 occupations and they are all divided as Professionals, Semi-professionals, and skilled positions.

Sometimes, foreigner with E7 visa need to alter or add information of employment because of retirement, change job/work, or end of contract.

Then foreigner must report changes of his/her employment status.

<How to change the employment place.>

1. Report on alteration or addition of employment place

1) E7 visa holders (salesman and other 10 occupations are excluded.) who have been staying in Korea with alien registered card and qualifies the condition for new job position are eligible for alteration or addition of employment place.

*If retirement or dismissal is occurred by full responsible of foreigner, alteration is not possible without agreement from ex-employer.

2) Procedure

- Foreigner (reporter or applicant) must visit and report within 15 days after the situation occurs.

- Agreement from ex-employer is necessary in order to keep the employment and rule of management policy on foreigners stay.

Salesman, Cook & Chef , Designer, Hotel receptionist, Medical coordinator, Skilled worker on industry and factory, Agricultural occupation.

*Afterward permission is possible for :

Any kinds of occuapations for E7 visa other than positions listed above

2. Authorization for alteration or addition of employment place

Any occupations are needed to be managed because the number of employees is specially limited. (Salesman, Cook & Chef , Designer, Hotel receptionist, Medical coordinator, Skilled worker on industry and factory, Agricultural occupation.)

E7 visa requires more than applicant qualification so it is complicated to obtain the visa right on time. Even it is hard to report and be authorized to change the employment place if the reason of retirement or dismissal from the job is foreigner's full responsibility.
