What is D10 Visa?
D10 visa can be issued in two cases.
First, this visa can be issued for foreign people who is seeking for a job in Korean company and organization.
Or it can be for foreigners who are in paid short term internship program before full time employment contract has made.
The last, D10 visa can be issued for foreigners who have a plan to apply patent for own intellectual property,
to establish own corporation or to visit Korea in order to prepare for a business start up.
You are eligible to apply for a D-10 visa if:
-You want to engage in researching and job seeking activities in a relevant field such as E-1 Professorship, E-2 Foreign Language Instructor, E-3 Research, E-4 Technology Transfer, E-5 Professional Employment, E-6 Arts & Performances, and E-7 Special Occupation.
*The Artist/Athlete(E-6) field only includes pure art or sports, and excludes adult entertainment businesses (E-6-2).
-You are founders of a corporation regarding technology and business, who are recommended by the Minister of Justice and have bachelor’s degree or intellectual property rights or equivalent skills.
Special eligibility.
1. If you a person who has at least 1-year experience at one of companies listed on the FORTUNE’s Global 500.
2. If you are a graduate of a university listed on the Top 200 World University Rankings.
3. If you completed a research program at a Korean university.
4. If you are recommended by the minister of an official residence.
5. If you are working on business startup preparation activities.
※ You are eligible to transfer D-2 visa to D-10 visa if:
1. You are prospective graduate or graduated from Korean college.
2. You have Bachelor's degree or higher (or prospectively) or completed (or prospectively) research program from Scholarship research organization in Korea.
3. You have qualified requirements on E-1 Professorship, E-2 Foreign Language Instructor, E-3 Research, E-4 Technology Transfer, E-5 Professional Employment, E-6 Arts & Performances, E-7 Special Occupation.
4. You need to make an employment contract with employer or head of corporation or organization where you want to engage in.
